ANSI Globe Valve meets the American national standard(ANSI BI16.34)and are suitable for ANSI Class150-1500LB. Working temperatures ranging from -29 to +425℃ (carbon steel), -29 to +650℃ (chromium-molybdenum steel), and -40 to +500℃(stainless steel) on various pipelines. It is used to cut off or connect the medium in the pipeline. By choosing different materials, it can be applied to various media such as water, steam, oil products, nitric acid, acetic acid, strong oxidizing media and urea. The drive methods include manual, bevel gear and electric.
Working principle:
The opening and closing part of the ANSI Globe Valve is a stopper disc. The sealing surface is flat or conical, and the disc moves linearly along the centerline of the fluid. ANSI Globe Valve belongs to the forced sealing type valve. Therefore, when the valve is closed, pressure must be applied to the valve disc to force the sealing surface not to leak. When the medium enters the valve from below the disc, the resistance that the operating force needs to overcome is the friction force between the valve stem and the packing and the thrust generated by the pressure of the medium. The force required to close the valve is greater than that required to open it, so the diameter of the valve stem should be larger; otherwise, the valve stem may bend at the top.
